How Can a Tech Entrepreneur’s Idea Lead to More Peace?
Airbnb founder Brian Chesky joined Lenny’s podcast to give a masterclass on inspired business leadership. Asked to share one unfulfilled aspiration, Brian said he wished everyone on earth could get a passport.
This got me thinking.
Being a diplomat trained to take an idea and make it a reality, the mind’s wheels started turning. Especially so given travel’s transformative power to overcome ignorance or unhelpful nationalism. What could we do to make huge progress toward this goal?

The world is full of internationally-oriented organizations that share the cause of promoting travel. Traditionally, Rotary International, the Meridian International Center, and AFS Intercultural Programs have facilitated exchange travel, especially for younger people who have never travel. Lately, smaller yet nimble organizations have emerged to close travel disparities that under-resourced communities often face — such as those on this list.
2. Enlist travel organizations to organize passport sign-up campaigns
